  1.  Introduction

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which CyberTEAport Limited (the “School,” "we," "our," “us,” “CyberTEAport," "CyberTEA,") and our affiliated entities collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “Student”) of the School. This Privacy Policy applies to the School and all Courses offered by the School.

We recommend that you read this Privacy Policy carefully as it provides important information about your personal information and your rights under the law.

 

This Privacy Policy Applies to information we collect:

  • on the school platform; 
  • at one of our on-site locations, events, fairs, or conferences; or
  • in email, text or other electronic messages between you and the School.


2.  Personal identification information 

We take your privacy seriously and want to outline the measures we employ in safeguarding your personal information.

We may collect personal identification information from Students in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Students enrol in the School or a Course within the School, subscribe to a newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, offers, bundles, features, or resources we make available in our School.

We collect this information:

  • directly from you when you provide it to us, such as when you create an account, or contact us with inquiries; and
  • automatically as you use the School.  Information collected automatically may include usage details, and information collected through cookies.

Students may visit the School anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Students only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Students can refuse to supply personal identification information but doing so may prevent them from engaging in certain School related activities.

3.  How we use collected information 

The School may collect and use Students’ personal identification information for the following purposes:

  •   To improve customer service and support
    Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
  •   To personalize user experience
    We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Students as a group use the services and resources provided in our School.
  •   To send periodic emails
    We may use Student email addresses to send Students information and updates pertaining to their order. Student email addresses may also be used to respond to Student inquiries, questions, or other requests.

In general, We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:

  • To provide the School and its contents to you.
  • To process transactions and fulfill orders, including billing and collections.
  • To register a Student.
  • To provide you with marketing and promotions, and for us to audit the same.
  • To provide you with notices about your account, your activities, promotions, partner agreement, or other agreements.
  • To carry out our obligations and rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
  • To defend against claims and litigation.
  • To enforce our policies and protect against security incidents, including to prevent fraud, malicious, deceptive or illegal activity.
  • To notify you about changes to the School or any products or services we offer to provide through it.
  • To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
  • In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.
  • For any purpose with your consent.

You may notify us to opt-out from receiving certain marketing emails and each marketing email may include an opt-out button or unsubscribe link.

 

4. Users Must Be At Least 18 

Students must be at least 18 years old; any user under 18 is not authorized.  Our School is not targeted to children under age 18. Additionally, we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 18 years of age. 

If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 18 has provided personal information to the School, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.  

5.  Disclosure or Sharing your personal information 

We do not sell, trade, or rent Student personal identification information to others.

The school is not in the business of selling your information. We have the right to disclose aggregated information about our Students, and information that does not identify any individual.  We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide in accordance with this Privacy Policy:

  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates within our corporate family.
  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business.
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of the School's assets, whether as a going concern or as part of a bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by the School about our Students is among the assets transferred.
  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
  • To our faculty and professional advisors, including lawyers, accountants, consultants, security professionals and other similar parties when disclosure is reasonably necessary.
  • With your consent.
  • To third party advertising partners who may use data to serve ads for us and provide us with analytics.
  • To third party vendors who may use data to provide you additional services and products.

We may also disclose your personal information:

  • To comply with a subpoena, court order, administrative or governmental order, or any other requirement of law.
  • If the School, in its sole discretion, deems it necessary in order to protect its rights or the rights of others, to prevent harm to persons or property, to fight fraud and credit risk.
  • To enforce or apply our School's Terms of Use, and other agreements or policies, including for billing and collection purposes.

6. Third party websites 

This Privacy Policy applies only to the School. Student may find advertising or other content in our School that link to the websites and services of our affiliated entities partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors, other third parties and social networking sites including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

We do not operate or control the content or links that appear on these websites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our School. In addition, these websites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These websites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Student, is subject to that website's own terms and policies.

The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third Party websites. The links from this School do not imply that the School endorses or has reviewed the Third Party websites. We suggest contacting those sites directly for information on their privacy policies. 

7.   Data Security 

The School takes commercially reasonable steps to protect the personal information provided via the Platform from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. including but not limited to encryption in transit and at rest, role based access controls, strong authentication requirements, and active monitoring of all information shared. However, not all Internet or e-mail transmissions are fully secure or error free. In particular, e-mail or forms sent to or from the School may not be fully secure in transit. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us via e-mail or through a form. Please keep this in mind when disclosing any personal information to the School via the Internet. Your School account personal information is protected by a password and, in some scenarios, we may offer Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) for your privacy and security. You are responsible for protecting against unauthorized access to your account and personal information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk.  We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the School.

8.   How Long Do We Keep Your Personal information? 

General Retention Periods 

We use the following criteria to determine our retention periods: the amount, nature and sensitivity of your information, the reasons for which we collect and process your personal data, the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide you with access to our services and/or School, and applicable legal requirements. We will retain personal information we collect from you where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements). We will also retain personal information we collect from you, for your convenience, where you have an active account, have not requested to delete or you have asked us to retain it. Additionally, we cannot delete information when it is needed for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. In this case, the information must be retained as long as needed for exercising respective potential legal claims.

The School has the discretion to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We encourage Students to frequently check this page for any changes. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

10.   Other Terms and Conditions 

Your access to and use of the School is subject to the School’s Terms of Use.

12.   Your acceptance of these terms 

By registering or enrolling in the School, and voluntarily providing us with any such personal information, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy and you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not enrol in the School. Your continued enrollment in the School following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
